In this guide I will show you how to install Polly Anti Roll Bar mounts on your mk3 and mk3.5 fiesta

Why I hear you cry, well polyurethane does not flex or deteriorate like rubber does.
So this allows the suspension stay in its correct position,
as you probably know, poor geometry makes for a poor ride.

Tools Needed:

Socket Set
Spanners
Trolley jack
Axel stands
Alan Key

Parts Needed:

Top Suspension Polly Mounts

Mounted

Flex???

Applies to:
All MK3's
bushes

This part is easier while the car is on the floor, so begin by opening the bonnet and locate the suspension strut tops.
Got them, good, put a ring spanner over the nut and then an Allen key into the top.
While holding the Allen key undo the nut, but don't undo it all the way from the thread.

Then you need to lift the car, do this by chocking the back
wheels and raising the front securing it on axle stands and remove the wheels.

Try this, if it doesn't work you will have to move on to the next step.

You may be able to pull the shock absorber down and out of the old bush and the turret.
Once the top nut and plate are removed. If you can, skip forward a little while.

bushes

Undo the drop link from the suspension strut if it is fitted; remove the brake pipe-retaining bracket from the strut
Undo the suspension leg to the hub-retaining nut and release the strut from the hub with a rubber hammer.
Once the top nut and plate are removed drop the strut from the turret.

bushes

Prise out the old rubber bush from the top and remove it.
Clean the surface ready for the new bush.

Notice that the Polly bush comes in two pieces,
this is because they are hard to produce in one bit and extremely hard to get in position.

bushes bushes

Split the bush and grease the groove that runs around the bush. Put some strong string in the groove,
squeeze the lip and push the bush up from under the wheel arch,
hook one side on then use the string to help pull the lip onto the other side.
Be prepared to sware a lot and get cut knuckles

Once that bit is in you need to attach the rest of the bush then put the strut back in following the above removal in reverse.

Repeat for the other side then lower to the ground and double check the strut
is tight in the engine bay as the weight will slightly stretch the bush.

Hopefully you will feel the difference when cornering and in general driving
