Older Fiesta's tend to have amber front Indicators fitted.
These look good if you are doing a restoration project,
but not if you want your car to look more modern.
In this little guide we show you how to change the Indicator lenses and bulbs
using genuine ford and or aftermarket parts.
Tools Needed:
None
Glass Paint(amber)
Clear as day!
And we have Clear light
Applies to: Mk3 Fiesta's
Firstly Open your bonnet, secure it using the bonnet stay.
Then position your self in the front corner of the engine bay.
Lean over and locate the spring retaining clip that holds the amber Indicator in.
Put your finger in the loop and give it a good pull, it may be rusted up depending on its age,
If so just give it a blast with WD40 and try again.
With the Spring clip dislodged, it is time to remove the amber lense from the car.
carfully prise the lense free of the wing, uncliping it from the top edge.
Take note that there is a cable and bulb behind the lense..
See below.
To remove the wire and its plug, all you have to do is press the metal
clip down and pull the plug free from the bulb holder.
If you twist out the bulb holder you will notice that in the amber lense the bulb is clear.
Yet in the clear lense the bulb is amber. If you didnot get the amber bulb,
you Will need to either buy a set or paint the clear bulbs that came with the amber set of lenses.
Put the either the new amber bulbs in your original bulb holder and twist back into place
Or make sure that the new bulbs are amber and position the lense near the wing
and re-connect the wiring to the bulb holder.
Refit the clear lense into the wing ensuring that it is located correctly,
By seeing if the little pin is situated in the hole in the wing and the
rubber stopper is to the rear of the pannel lip.
Pull the spring retainer and clip it back into the hole in the inner wing.
There you have it, one clear Indicator, repeat the above steps for the oposite side.
and you'll agree that it looks alot better.
The fried egg appearance can be reduced by purchsing clear bulbs
that flash orange or Mirror finish ones that again flash orange.

Hope this guide is of some help.
