This is a little guide to install Front and rear XR2i recaro seats into your mk3 fiesta.
Also applies to any other fiesta seats you have like Rs turbo recaro's or si seats.
This guide is for both 3 door and 5 door models.

Look at the horrid pattern on those seats, they deserve to go in the bin and be replaced
with some figure hugging Recaro seats that are good for your back and posture.

Back Seats
First off start with the back seats.
If you have a poverty model with a one piece rear seat then you got to do more work
by removing the whole seat from the hinges then replacing the rear panel with split bench.
This is done by folding down the rear bench and removing the two torx screws at each side.
This will leave the two hinges at the sides.
Then with the bench removed the mounting holes for the middle hinge will be exposed, but are blocked with screws,
undo these and place the middle hinge inplace and re-tighten.

With all three of the mounting hinges in plcae you can now proceed to fit the rear seat backs,
simply slide the backs into postion between the hinges and bolt securley with the torx headed screws.

This is how to change the rear seats if you have a split rear bench which folds in two parts.
Fold down rear seats and undo the plastic self tappers with a large screw driver,
then remove the old granny pattern foam insert and place the XR2i pattern foam in its place.
Then fix the foam in the same way you removed it.
Repeat this step for the other side of the rear bench, as they are both the same fixings.

Next the bottom seat has to go. Unscrew the 3 self-tappers at the lower part of the seat where your legs normally go.
One on either side and one in the middle. Then lift up the lower seat to reveal the
fuel pump - nice isn't it. Feed through the seat belt and seat belt locks.
You have to unclip the bottom seat underneath in the middle by simply pushing towards the boot of the car and it finally gives up.

To fit the lower XR2i seat is a little tricky because you have to put that little hook back in.
You may need to fold down backbench to squeeze it back in.
Back seats are now fitted - you can relax a bit now, as that was the hardest part of fitting seats.

Front seats
Simply move the driver seat all the forward and then fold forward to reveal two bolts.
Get your ratchet set out and undo the two bolts, 13mm I think.

Next slide seat all the way back to reveal 2 more bolts, Undo these and the seat becomes free.
Carefully remove seat from fiesta without scratching paintwork like I did.

Place front recaro seat in place of old seat and line up holes then bolt down the
seat at the front first because it is easier.
Repeat for passenger side seat too.
Presto - recaro seats are fitted.
